INVITATION TO DIGITAL LITERACY TRAINING




Dear Colleagues,

You are specially invited to the Digital Literacy Training organized by the Information Technology Section of the Nigerian Library Association. It will take place at Anambra State Library Board, Awka from 21st to 23rd March, 2016 (See Flyer above and contact the numbers on it if you need the Invitation Letter).

Note that the cost has been subsidized to N15,000 to enable everyone to attend even without institutional sponsorship. We are passionate about ensuring that every Nigerian Librarian is skillful in the area of technology adoption in library services. It is going to be purely practicals (Hands-on).

A VISIT TO SOWETO IN SOUTH AFRICA

This memorable trip was embarked upon on March 21, 2015, being South African Human Rights Day (Courtesy of Carnegie CPD Programme Organizers in University of Pretoria ). The 28 Carnegie CPD3 students were on board for this tour with Dr. Marlene Holmner, Ms. Joan De La Haye, Carike Schoeman and the Tour Guide. We visited many interesting places among which are; 1.       MANDELA'S HOUSE AND FAMILY RESTAURANT – See few of the pictures taken at the place below    This tree is located inside Mandela's compound. We were informed by our Guide that the umbilical cord of all Mandela's children were buried under that tree hence, the family takes the tree as a very special one to them.
